The West Virginia Child Support Laws govern all child support laws in the State of West Virginia. These contain the regulations and rules for enacting child support orders. Moreover, the rules provide all relevant information needed for determining the figure of child support that is owed and provisions for enforcement of child support orders. These include attachment of property and income withholding, amongst other provisions. Moreover, the guidelines also contain the circumstances and conditions to change a current child support order. The court takes into account a range of factors when determining the final amount to be paid on a child order, such as the type of lifestyle and living conditions which the children were used to prior to the divorce, health care and educational costs, rent etc.
